About AWSB
AWSB is a badminton academy helmed by Mr Ajit Wijetilekk, Renowned Coach and Former Badminton International. AWSB works at redefining high performance in Badminton and aims at the holistic development of the players from grass roots to world level through Ajit’s philosophy of Correct Badminton christened “AWSB Edu-Train”.
AWSB is currently functional at Kreeda Center for Sports Excellence and The Majesstine Sports Complex in Bangalore. The vision of AWSB is to create International and National badminton champions, and in the process creating better human beings out of the young budding talents who become part of the AWSB family.
About Ajit Wijetilekk
Ajit Wijetilekk, a protégé of the legendary Prakash Padukone, is a Former Badminton International having played for India in prestigious events like the All England Championship, Thomas Cup, Asian Badminton Championships etc. He is amongst the very few who have simultaneously represented India in both Singles and Doubles.
Ajit was a Singles World Top 100 player, ranked second in India in seniors behind All England Champion P Gopichand and No.2 in senior doubles. Ajit was the Junior India No.1 in Singles and Doubles. Ajit is the recipient of the highest sporting honour in Karnataka, the Ekalavya Award by Government of Karnataka. He is also a lawyer by education and an expert speaker who has addressed various audiences.
Ajit’s passion for Badminton remained undiminished leading his immediate switch from a player to coach after a rewarding playing career. Ajit founded a Badminton school with his doubles partner for India, Jose George, “Ajit Jose School of Badminton” in Royal Padmanabha Courts, Trivandrum, Kerala, honing young aspirants to rise to the top of Indian and World Badminton.
After creating a bunch of excellent National and International age group players who went on to represent the country in Juniors and creating a culture of badminton excellence in Trivandrum through AJSB and with the patronage of a keen badminton lover and player himself Prince Aditya Varman of the Travancore Family, an embodiment of humility, Ajit stepped on to the next stage of his coaching dreams.
He founded “Ajit Wijetilekk School of Badminton (AWSB)” with the intent of redefining high performance and aiming at the holistic development of the players from grass roots to world level through his philosophy of Correct Badminton.”

Kreeda Center for Sports Excellence
'Kreeda Center for Sports Excellence is a cutting edge sports center founded to groom champions in India with an eye on success at professional stage. Kreeda CSE is located in the IT capital of India, Bengaluru and spreads across 75000 sqft of state-of-the-art facilities and sports injury management center.
Badminton is one of the major sports being trained in Kreeda with 8 world class courts exclusively for the purpose.
The Majesstine Sports
The Majesstine Sports is a sports and wellness destination located in HSR Layout, Bangalore. It is a state of the art sports and training center offering world class playing infrastructure.
Majesstine Sports hosts one of the high performance centers of AWSB. AWSB at Majesstine imparts badminton training under the Edu-Train program founded and spear-headed by Ajit Wijetilekk, with also batches dedicated to the beginner and intermediate level players.
